Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Is the congress being held in person (face-to-face) or online?
  • Both options are available; the first day of the congress will be held in person, and the second day will be conducted online.
  1. In which languages can I deliver my presentation?
  • English and Turkish are the official languages of the congress; you can deliver your presentation in either language.
  1. May I deliver my presentation in a different language?
  • Unfortunately, presentations in languages other than English and Turkish are not accepted.
  1. Are you going to publish an Abstract Book?
  • Yes, abstracts of the presentations delivered at the congress will be published as an Abstract Book after the congress.
  1. Is submission of full papers mandatory for the congress?
  • No, submitting full papers is not mandatory. In such cases, your presentation will only be published in the Abstract Book.
  1. I want the full text of my paper to be published, what should I do?
  • Authors who wish the publication of their papers in the Proceedings Book should submit their full texts to the congress secretariat within one month after the congress.
  1. Is there a template for the full papers?
  1. Is there an opportunity to have our congress full papers published in a journal?
  • Yes, selected papers will be published in the journal “Scientific Research Communications” upon the completion of the journal’s peer review process. No publication charges will be requested.
  1. What is the allotted time for delivering my presentation at the congress?
  • Each participant will have a total of 15 minutes, which includes time for both the presentation and any subsequent questions and answers (Q/A).
  1. Where is the congress being held?
  • The first day of the congress will be held in person at Ege University.
  1. How much is the congress fee?
  • The congress fee is 800 TL per manuscript. However, if the corresponding author and the primary presenter are international students, the congress fee is reduced to 400 TL per manuscript.
  1. When should I pay the congress fee?
  • Payment can be made after receiving the acceptance letter for your abstract.
  1. What does this fee cover?
  • It includes congress participation, lunch, coffee breaks, access to the Abstract Book (online), access to the Proceedings Book (online), and a participation certificate (available in both printed and online formats).
  1. I won’t be presenting, but I’d like to attend the sessions. Is that possible?
  • Yes, you are welcome to attend all sessions, including online ones, free of charge as an audience.
  1. How many papers can we present at the congress?
  • The same team of authors may present a maximum of 3 papers.
  1. Will the papers in the Proceedings Book be assigned DOI numbers?
  • Yes, each full paper in the Proceedings Book will be assigned a DOI number, to enhance discoverability and citation potential.
  1. Will the Proceedings Book be assigned an ISBN number?
  • Yes, the Proceedings Book will be assigned an ISBN number.
  1. Will the Abstract Book be assigned an ISBN number?
  • No, the Abstract Book will be assigned a DOI number, although not each individual abstract.
  1. I will be attending the congress from outside of Izmir. Can you assist with accommodation?
  • If you have such a need, please contact the congress secretary.
